The Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance Junior Program is comprised of high school students who display an interest in Emergency Medical Services and first response. The Juniors meet twice a month and learn skills that they can apply in the field or on a scene before further support arrives. The Junior Members have undergone CPR training and certification and continue to undergo extensive training in ambulatory first response. Outside the classroom setting, the junior members have raised funds with car washes and bake sales and have also met on their own time to put together “blizzard bags” for the senior members in the community during the months of extreme storm weather this past winter.
The Chiefs, Board of Directors, and Membership are all proud and further support the juniors as do the Paramedics on duty and always urge them to ask questions, and practice. We are all very proud of them and can not wait to see what the next year brings us! Kudos Juniors and Advisors!
